It’s easy to get caught up in the busyness of life and start to feel like God is far away. But the truth is, He’s never left. He’s right there, even in the chaos, we just have to slow down enough to notice. Whether your day feels out of control or perfectly peaceful, God wants to meet you in it.
Here are 10 simple ways to invite Him into your everyday life and actually feel His presence.

1. Start Your Day with Gratitude
Before you reach for your phone or dive into your to-do list, pause and thank Him. Gratitude resets your focus. It reminds you who He is and anchors your day in His goodness.
2. Pray Throughout the Day
Prayer doesn’t have to be long or fancy. Whisper short prayers as you go, while washing dishes, folding laundry, walking into a meeting. Keep the conversation going.
3. Meditate on Scripture
Pick a verse to carry with you through the day. Write it on a sticky note, put it on your lock screen, or just repeat it in your mind. Scripture is one of the clearest ways we remember that God is near.
4. Worship While You Work
Turn on worship music while doing normal things, driving, cleaning, cooking dinner. It shifts the atmosphere and helps your heart stay soft toward Him.

The ESV Study Bible is hands down my favorite. It’s packed with context, maps, commentary, and notes that help make Scripture clearer without watering it down.
This is the exact one I use!
It’s deep, solid, and totally worth it.
5. Practice Silence and Stillness
Sometimes we need to stop talking and just sit with Him. Even five minutes of silence can change your whole posture. Be still. Breathe. Let Him meet you there.
6. Notice God in Nature
God’s fingerprints are all over creation. Watch the wind move through the trees. Feel the sun on your skin. Listen to the birds sing. He made it all, and He’s right there in it.
7. Journal Your Thoughts and Prayers
Write it all out, the honest, messy, beautiful stuff. Journaling slows you down and helps you see what God’s already doing in your life.
8. Look for God in Others
God often speaks through people. Pay attention to that encouraging text, the smile from a stranger, or a deep conversation with a friend. His love shows up in human moments.
9. Invite Him into Your Decisions
Every decision, big or small, is an opportunity to seek Him. Ask for wisdom. Pause before responding. Trust that He’ll lead you.

If your prayer life feels distracted or dry, Fervent by Priscilla Shirer is a must-read. It’s not fluffy, it’s a straight-up battle plan for getting strategic and intentional in prayer. Practical, powerful, and rooted in Scripture. Highly recommend. Grab it here.
10. End Your Day with Reflection
Before you fall asleep, ask yourself: “Where did I see God today?” Even if it was small, noticing His presence helps you go to bed grounded in truth, not stress.
God isn’t waiting for you to have more time, more discipline, or a better routine. He’s just waiting for you to turn toward Him. And the more you do it, the more natural it becomes.
You don’t need a perfect schedule to experience His presence. You just need an open heart and a few quiet moments.
